Board and Train Program Overview:

Arrival Day:
Upon your arrival at the trainer's residence, we kickstart the day with a thorough 2-hour handover session. This provides you with the opportunity to address any questions before the training commences. After your departure, our dedicated trainer conducts a detailed puppy assessment, identifying key areas for initial development.

Core Training Outline: (Duration: 12 days)
In the board and train program, flexibility is key—no rigid day-by-day schedules. We adapt to your puppies' pace, honing in on essential aspects and progressing seamlessly through the program. Our aim? To build a strong training foundation covering most, if not all, of the following;

  • Reduction of undesirable behaviours
  • Establish in-house routines
  • Toilet training management
  • Public socialisation adventures
  • Handling and grooming desensitisation
  • Crate training; learn to settle
  • Addressing separation anxiety
  • Tether decompression
  • Marker training

In the initial 2 weeks, we successfully establish the training foundation. The final 2 weeks of the 4-week program allow us to delve into finer details, offering you and your pup the best chance of success. **

Following your phone consultation, we'll seamlessly arrange a convenient time for a 60-minute introduction. This allows you to gauge if we're the perfect fit for your puppy's training needs.

Bonus: We'll come to you, making the process effortlessly convenient. Let's set the stage for a successful training journey!

DROP OFF DAY

Prepare for a seamless start to your pup's training journey! When arriving at your trainer's home, bring along your pup's toys, bedding, and food. We do not provide food as we maintain your puppies regular diet, aligning with your current feeding routine. Rest assured, all other essentials are taken care of.

The drop-off will be scheduled either in person or over the phone to facilitate a seamless transition. We recommend an earlier drop-off, allowing your trainer to initiate the bonding process before nightfall.

Upon arrival, we'll guide you through your puppy's temporary home, addressing any questions before your departure.

EXAMPLE DAY OUTLINE

Example Day:

AM: 7 am - 12 pm

  • Begin with polite meal manners; sit and wait for training initiation.
  • Engage in marker training sessions.
  • Practice recall commands.
  • Focus on place training.

  • Teach the 'out' command.
  • Repeat tether decompression for further relaxation.

MID: 12 pm - 3 pm

  • Practice front door manners, threshold training.
  • Embark on a socialisation adventure.
  • Refine leash manners.
  • Conclude with tether decompression for relaxation.

PM: 3 pm - 7 pm

  • Resume with polite meal manners; sit and wait for training commencement.
  • Continue marker training exercises.
  • Reinforce name recognition.
  • Work on loose leash walking skills.
  • Implement tether decompression for relaxation.
  • Encourage appropriate play manners.
  • Teach the 'out' command.
  • Incorporate crate training exercises for night routine.

CLIENT INVOLVMENT

Throughout the Board and Train program, our open-door policy encourages regular visits to connect with your pup.

At the program's conclusion, we'll bring your pup and belongings, back to your home.

Followed by a handover session, lasting two hours, which is dedicated to setting up your family, home, and pup for continued success in the ongoing journey of puppy parenting.

CLIENT COMMUNICATION

Our communication channels are open between 8 am and 8 pm for any inquiries or discussions regarding your puppy's progress.

Throughout the Board and Train program, you'll receive regular training photos and video updates showcasing your puppy's progress.

We also welcome scheduled visits to witness firsthand the positive development of your pup. Please provide notice, as we may be catching up on essential tasks during these visits.

Your engagement is important to us, and we look forward to maintaining transparent and professional communication.

PROGRAM EXTENSION

Interested in extending the board and train service? Program extensions hinge on your trainer's availability. Booking an extension during your board and train's finalisation is likely accommodated. However, close to the finish date, availability might be limited due to new arrivals. Consult your trainer for scheduling options.

PAYMENT

We've tailored our payment process to be as convenient as possible for our clients. To secure your spot in our Board & Train program, a 30% deposit is due at the time of booking. Following that, payments are scheduled to be settled at the end of each week throughout the duration of your pups stay.
