Elite Canine has partnered with Mavericks Dog Grooming to promote awareness of the importance of early positive grooming exposure for puppies. This partnership emphasises the normalisation of early intervention to prevent grooming-related behavioural issues from escalating into adulthood.

Together, we advocate for proactive grooming practices that ensure puppies develop confidence and comfort with grooming routines from the start. By addressing these needs early, we aim to foster a lifelong positive relationship between puppies and grooming.

    Alice, our expert dog trainer, will gently desensitise and acclimate your puppy to the grooming environment using specialised positive training techniques.

    Ease your puppy into the grooming experience with a complete Bath and Tidy, continuing to build confidence and positive associations within the grooming salon.

Teaming up with Adelaide's renowned Maverick's Grooming near Burnside, our experienced trainer will guide your puppy through a 60-minute grooming orientation, ensuring a positive first-time experience.

Grooming Integration builds on the foundation established in stage one, introducing more hands-on grooming activities to further acclimate your puppy to the grooming experience.

GROOMING INTERGRATION

STAGE 2: GROOMING INTERGRATION
(Duration: 60-120 minutes)



In stage two, your puppy will be in the capable hands of the talented and highly trained staff at Mavericks, where they will enjoy a gentle bath and tidy. While your puppy is being cared for, you can take the opportunity to relax at one of the nearby cafes or visit Burnside Shopping Centre, just two minutes away. Before you know it, you'll receive a message from Mavericks letting you know your puppy looks fantastic and is ready for pick-up.

Please remember to continue practicing the handling techniques and homework provided in stage one throughout the program to ensure the best possible experience for your puppy.

The quote for stage two will be provided at the conclusion of your stage one consultation.

STAGE 3: GRADUATION

Celebrate your puppy's success as they experience their first full haircut and groom, completing the final stage of our puppy grooming program.

STAGE 3: GROOMING GRADUATION

For owners of puppies requiring haircuts, by stage three, you’ve been preparing your puppy for this important step. Grooming isn’t a natural experience for most puppies, but thanks to the training and desensitisation work you’ve put in, your puppy is now ready to graduate into the mainstream grooming world with confidence.

The skilled staff at Mavericks will work with you to determine the haircut best suited for your puppy, taking into account their breed, coat type, and current condition. Our goal is to ensure your puppy has the best possible experience, and Mavericks is dedicated to making that happen.

The quote for stage three will be provided at the conclusion of stage two.

FOLLOW ON TRAINING

Did your trainer recommend that your puppy was struggling and needs extra attention when it comes to grooming? No problem!

We understand that every puppy is unique and may require additional support to build a positive association at the grooming salon.

That's why we offer follow-on training sessions for just $150 per hour or $80 for a 30 minute booking. With personalised attention and expert guidance, we'll help your pup overcome any challenges and feel confident and comfortable during their grooming sessions. We are available on select weekdays and weekends.

Please note our latest time slot booking is at 7pm.

PAYMENT

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your spot in our schedule. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the service.
